Urology services
Urology involves the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the bladder and prostate. The prostate, a gland that produces fluid essential for semen, frequently experiences issues among men aged 50 and older. Common issues include prostate enlargement or inflammation (prostatitis). An enlarged prostate can compress the bladder and urethra, the passage through which urine exits the body.
To begin, you can schedule a consultation online with one of our experienced consultants. To book your appointment, you can complete an appointment form.

Bladder Difficulties
Changes in your urinary habits—such as increased frequency, urgency, difficulty passing urine, or discomfort—can be concerning and may signal an underlying health issue. These symptoms are often linked to conditions affecting the bladder, kidneys, prostate, or urethra, and can range from minor infections to more serious concerns like obstruction or cancer. Understanding what these changes mean is the first step toward managing your health. In this article, we’ll guide you through the most common urinary symptoms, what to expect during a medical consultation, and the possible diagnoses your doctor may explore. Early evaluation can lead to effective treatment and peace of mind.
Problems with the Prostate
The prostate is a small gland that can develop several health issues as men age. The most common are benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), which causes the prostate to enlarge, leading to urinary problems like frequent urination and a weak urine stream. Another issue is prostatitis, an inflammation or infection of the prostate, and prostate cancer, a more serious condition that requires early detection for better outcomes.
If you experience changes in urination or discomfort, it’s important to seek medical advice. Early diagnosis can help manage symptoms and prevent further complications, improving overall health and quality of life.

FAQS
Urology is a medical specialty focused on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions related to the urinary tract system in both males and females, as well as male reproductive organs.
You should consider seeing a urologist if you experience symptoms such as frequent urination, blood in urine, urinary tract infections, kidney stones, or sexual dysfunction.
Urologists treat a wide range of conditions including urinary tract infections (UTIs), kidney stones, prostate issues (such as enlarged prostate or prostate cancer), bladder issues, erectile dysfunction, infertility, and urinary incontinence.
Common urological procedures include cystoscopy (to examine the bladder and urinary tract), prostate biopsy, kidney stone removal (lithotripsy or surgery), bladder surgery, vasectomy, and treatments for urinary incontinence.
Before your appointment, it's helpful to write down any symptoms you're experiencing, gather medical records or test results related to your condition, and prepare questions to discuss with your urologist about diagnosis, treatment options, and potential outcomes.
Risk factors for urological conditions vary depending on the specific condition but may include age, family history, certain medical conditions (such as diabetes or hypertension), lifestyle factors (such as smoking or diet), and exposure to certain chemicals or medications.
