Cardiac Tests

Immediate Access To ECG Testing

Cardiac Tests

When assessing your heart’s health and function, cardiac tests are essential. These tests, which range from tracking your heart’s rhythm over time to evaluating blood flow and pressure, aid in the diagnosis of diseases like arrhythmias, hypertension, and structural heart defects. Each test, whether it’s an electrocardiogram (ECG), 24-hour blood pressure reading, 24-hour echocardiogram, or 24-hour Holter monitor, offers important information that helps your doctor identify and treat heart-related issues.

Our private cardiac testing services are quick, precise, and comfortable. To help you take charge of your heart health, you will receive professional analysis and unambiguous results. Our sophisticated testing guarantees you receive the answers you require without needless stress or lengthy wait times, regardless of whether you’re exhibiting symptoms or are just being proactive.

What is a Holter monitor or 24hr ECG?

Also known as ambulatory ECG monitoring or Holter monitoring, this entails continuously recording the electrical activity of your heart for 24 to 48 hours, and occasionally longer. This can aid in the diagnosis of conditions like atrial fibrillation or irregularly occurring episodes of skipped beats.

What is 24hr Blood Pressure?

If you have symptoms of high or low blood pressure, your doctor may request that you have this test. The test measures your blood pressure at different times over a 24-hour period.

It is normal for blood pressure to change during the day because of anxiety, diet, exercise, sleep or any blood pressure medication you may take. As a result, taking a single blood pressure measurement in the clinic is not always a very accurate way of checking your blood pressure. The test will give your doctor more detailed information about your blood pressure during your daily life.

What is an electrocardiogram (ECG)?

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a simple test that can be used to check your heart’s rhythm and electrical activity. Sensors attached to the skin are used to detect the electrical signals produced by your heart each time it beats. These signals are recorded by a machine and are looked at by a doctor to see if they’re unusual. An ECG may be requested by a heart specialist (cardiologist) or any doctor who thinks you might have a problem with your heart, including your GP.

Echocardiogram

An echocardiogram, or “echo”, is a tyoe of ultrasound scan used to look at the heart and nearby blood vessels. An echocardiogram checks how your heart’s chambers and valves are pumping blood through your heart. electrodes are used to check your heart rhythm and ultrasound technology to see how blood moves through your heart. This scan greatly helps your doctor diagnose heart conditions. An echocardiogram may be requested by a heart specialist (cardiologist) or any doctor who thinks you might have a problem with your heart, including your GP.

You’ll have three electrodes put on your chest and the wires attached to these will be taped down. You’ll wear a small portable recorder on a belt around your waist which the wires will lead to. While you’re wearing the ECG recorder, you can do everything you would normally do - except have a bath or shower. It's safe and completely painless.

After The Test

When the test is finished, you’ll return the recorder to the doctor so the results can be analysed.
